Will Samsung Update Mid-Range Phones to One UI 6.1.1?

Ana sayfa / News

In July, during the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 event, the tech giant announced that the new devices would come with the One UI 6.1.1 update. The update has since been expanded to more devices and is now available for download on many phones. So far, it has been rolled out for flagship models. But will Samsung release the One UI 6.1.1 update for mid-range phones? Here are the details…

The update, known for its AI features, was released for the Galaxy S24 series on September 5 and became available for flagship devices launched in 2023. It is expected to be announced for high-end phones and tablets from 2022 as well. However, for mid-range phones, including the Galaxy A series, the situation might be different.

Although Samsung has not yet made an official statement regarding the One UI 6.1.1 update for mid-range phones, leaks suggest that devices like the Galaxy A55 may directly receive the One UI 7.0 update.

When is Samsung’s rollable screen phone coming!

The rollable screen smartphone that Samsung plans to launch in 2025 will have a huge screen.

One reason for skipping the update could be that Samsung is currently testing both One UI 6.1.1 and One UI 7.0 for flagship models. Additionally, it is reported that One UI 7.0 is already being tested for the Galaxy A55, A54, and other models, making it a more logical update for the A series.

Another reason could be that Galaxy AI features may not work as efficiently on mid-range devices. While some models may get the Circle to Search feature, it might not qualify as a full Galaxy AI update. However, since Samsung has previously released x.1.1 updates for mid-range devices, it’s still unclear what the company will decide.
